Battle on Buka Street tells the story of family rivalry, and it features stars like Funke Akindele, Nkem Owoh, Mercy Johnson, Sola Sobowale, among others.

2. Omo Ghetto: The Saga (2020)

Released in 2020, Omo Ghetto is a comedy directed by Funke Akindele and her husband, Jjc Skillz. It stars Akindele as Lefty, who struggles between the choice of living life in the ghetto with her friends or enjoying the comfortable lifestyle offered by her wealthy adopted mother. It ruled the Nigerian box office for 10 weeks, grossing a total of N636 million.

Ageshinkole (King of Thieves) earned total of ₦316, 249, 450 million after a 12-week run at the theatres, according to data by CEAN. The box office success makes it one of the highest-grossing Nollywood movies in an indigenous language.

Femi Adebayo plays the lead role in the indigenous epic, with Odunlade Adekola, Aishat Lawal, Toyin Abraham and Ibrahim Chatta.

8. Ijakumo: The Born Again (2022)

 

Ijakumo: The Born Again earned over ₦275 million after spending 11 weeks at the theatres.
